I agree that this game should have came out for ps2. Would have fit nicely in to my collection. This game will kick ass though, since Suda 51 help make it.

Silent Hill 4: the Room is my second favorite SH game of the series. I enjoyed a lot of the games ideas.

I loved the hauntings. I think it added a cool new addition in the silent hill games and how it would effect your score towards the end if you didn't get rid of them quickly enough. Some were doofy like the spinning clock or the radio.

I really enjoyed the story as well. Blew me away. Walter is such a psychopath.

As for Eileen, I liked her and how she fought enemies . She didn't feel like a useless NPC like Maria. Even though I didn't mind Maria since I speed run 2 and I don't care if she gets hurt.

I didn't really like the inventory system how you have limited space to hold all your items, and how ammunition you pick up take up 10 - 6 bullets per slot. I thought that was dumb, and you could only carry certain number of items. You would need to make frequent trips to your apartment which gets ride of the possibility of speed running it (which are my goals for all silent hill game)

The Combat system was improved since the first 3. The charge attack was awesome. Fighting the hauntings scared me since they can't die! Victim 7+8 wasn't creepy at all, actually i pissed my pants when I saw that enemy. Two headed giant baby looking thing with no legs. XD

*Last but not least, Bloody Henry haunting will forever be in my mind.

Your theory on Silent Hill 4 makes a hell of a lot of sense. Reminds me of Nightmare on Elm street b/c of how Freddy kills his victims in there sleeps and you die in real life as well, but why would Walter want to be put back into the womb? Did he think if he was sent to the womb he can be reborn again or something?

I think it is coincidental. I remember reading something about Silent Hill 2 online, forgot where though, and it said that almost all the dead bodies you find in Silent Hill are of James character model. This info may not be 100% true.

I would honestly love to see Douglas have his own game, which either investigates the town of Silent Hill on info of the cult that exist there, or maybe even a story were you find out that Douglas was on the scene of the robbery of the bank he mentions in SH3 and he shoots the robber and he finds out its his son, also mention in SH3, since his son got shot and killed while trying to rob a bank. That would be pretty cool. any thoughts?

I never really killed Maria before, nor did I know you could kill here. She never got in my way since like most survival horror games your supposed to survive and not kill everything in plain site. I would always beat the game really quickly anyway. Silent Hill 2 isn't a hard game at all.

Now that I know I can kill her, next time I pop it in ill see what happens when you combine a chainsaw to a strippers face.

I remember seeing the Mannequin flying out into the middle of the road. I just lawled away, but walking through the streets of Silent Hill (I forget which street its on) A Mannequin falls out of the sky. Scared the crap out of me.

I check as well and now bowling ball. Probably someone just decided "Hey, I'm going to be a jerk and make up something that is not true so gamers can waste time trying to find what I made up."

Ive also have been thinking about this for a while and the clues do add up. This theory makes sense, but I have one question.

Say there is something in Lake Toluca waiting to be awakened....wtf is it? Could it be a God from the Cult of the town? What can this God exactly do?

An Adult Heather coming back to series would be cool, I guess, but if they wanted to piss SH fans off they should make it so the source of the power from Lake Toluca is coming from UFO's. Id get a good giggle out of that.

Hello everyone. My name is Mario. Its blatantly obvious I love Silent Hill games with a passion. I know some info on the game, but not as much as a lot of people here.

Just reading some of the post people submit make me more eager to learn more about Silent Hill in general and become a big SH Geek. I feel as though I will really enjoy being a part of Silent Hill resorts forum. : )

I always feel somewhat bad for girls on game forums, becuase it's a particularly male dominated area, and most girls never even "come out", so to speak, due to the exact fears you stated. Either that, or they're immediately deemed as attention seekers and the like. It's really unfair. I sometimes wonder if most of them are actually intimidated by the idea of a female gamer, and therefore try to belittle them becuase of it.

I'm glad you've been able to find a safe haven among cooler heads.

You're always welcome as a fellow fan. ^_^ The lack of a Y chromosome should not exclude you from the hobby we all love.

And thank you specifically, Spider, for working toward that goal. This is pretty much the one place on the interwebs where I know that EVEN MALE-TYPE PEOPLE won't automatically dismiss my opinions because they come from someone with boobs. It's sad that it's so rare, but awesome that you've managed to cultivate that environment and attract people who believe in it.

I'd like to beat the other guys up myself, actually, but The Spear can come too. We'd make a pretty scary pair!
