We are hosting a "live" podcast. The podcast will take place on Skype so that the audio can be recorded easily. Skype is free to use for this sort of activity.

There will be roundtable discussion of Silent Hill, video games in general, movies, and then anything else we wish to discuss.

Mind you, there may be some "coarse" language used. If you have issues with that then please do not join the podcast.

Konami hasn't said anything, but the web just might have beat them to the punch.

Silent Hill: 0rigins is coming out for the PS2, and according to Amazon it is going to hit March 4th, 2008. This is great for those of us who do not have a PSP, or do and want to play it on the big screen without having to buy a cable or newer PSP.

GameFly, the online Netflix type game rental service, is also touting a PS2 version of the game but states March 31st, 2008 as the release date.

No matter the release date this is great news for PS2/PS3 owners who want their Silent Hill fix without having to shell out for a PSP.

Oscar winning screenwriter Roger Avary, best known for hits such as Pulp Fiction, Silent Hill and most recently Beowulf has been arrested after being involved in a car accident which killed his friend Andreas Zedini, 34 and seriously injuring his wife Gretchen 40.

....you can't escape it. It will follow you through every waking nightmare. It will envelope your mind and seal your fate. It will enter your subconscious and eat away at the darkness in your soul.

It is coming......it begins again.

Here are the characters in the game we know of so far.

Travis Grady - The protagonist of this game, he is the one who we see the story through.

Alessa - Travis saves her from the fire, but later learns she died. Yet, she keeps reappearing.

Dr. Michael Kaufmann - The mysterious doctor from V.1 makes a reappearance in this game.

Dahlia Gillespie - Younger but still there.

Nurse Lisa Garland - Lisa is alive in this game, unlike in V.1. She is flirtatious and innocent unlike in V.1.

The monsters in the game we know of so far:

Nurse - Just like in almost every game the nurses are there.

Carrion - Reminiscent of the dogs in V.1 and V.4, they resemble roadkill more than anything.

Straight Jacket - A precursor to the Patient Demon from V.2

Ariel - A strange mannequin enemy.

The Butcher - Someone who seems to be a long lost relative of Pyramid Head, except instead of a Great Knife there is a huge Butcher's Knife. In the same way as Pyramid Head The Butcher goes around killing monsters.

Twoback - A manifestation of Travis' anxiety about relationships.

Caliban - Another theatre manifestation.

Coming in under the radar, Silent Hill: 0rigins has been released to the public on the PSP (PlayStation Portable). Taking place before V.1, and promising to reveal secrets hinted at in V.1, the game follows the now known Travis Grady as he traverses Silent Hill and deals with demons from his past as well as visions that have plagued him since childhood.

I have not seen this posted anywhere else yet, so I think we have a scoop folks.

Today, Konami added the Silent Hill 2 Soundtrack to iTunes. Priced at $9.99 the savings over an import copy are tremendous.

Ok, this is just too well done and perfect. A nice mix of Rocky Horror Picture Show and Silent Hill.

We are back after two days of downtime.

The bandwidth got severely ate up due to the hosting of a certain file. I had purchased more that proved to be too little for the rest of July. I then decided to just let the past two days go by and let the allotment roll over into August, where we got a clean slate on bandwidth.

This issue should hopefully not continue into this month. I want to thank all who stuck around and are still with us through this slight issue.

2. Chris has been working out.
3. The girl at the end? Possibly Sherry Birkin, last seen in full view at the end of Resident Evil 2. Revealed to have been taken by the "government" in Resident Evil 3, and known as being held by Wesker in the Wesker Report.
4. Chris is getting his ass kicked.
5. The amount of enemies on screen at one time is amazing, and the physics of being hit and hitting are amazing.
6. This game is going to give heart attacks just from the immense action.
