The fact that the book is about a creepy old perv stalking a teenage (and not even legal teenage) girl, climbing into her room at night to watch her sleep (illegal in all 50 states and even more countries), and being a controlling dickhead is not exactly the type of books I would want me pre-teen, tween, teenage, or any age daughter reading and idolizing. Relationships like this are not good for anybody and are not a pinnacle that anyone should be reaching for.

Perhaps one of the biggest criticisms, and one that would last throughout the life of the series, is that of the theme song. It had become a staple of the series to have a popular artist of the day sing a song for each movie, and that staple lasts to this day. Some movies even had secondary themes during the end title credits. One of the harshest criticisms of a theme song came for the theme from The Man With The Golden Gun, followed by Madonna’s Die Another Day theme song.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy Hits Blu-ray

There is one caveat: the set coming is of the theatrical releases with barely any extras. Perfect for the general movie populace who are not huge fans, but the absolute fans will want to wait until 2012. This is when the ultimate versions of the movies will be coming on Blu-ray in a nice box set along with The Hobbit, the next movie in the series.
