Best Use of a Video Game Award for 2006
A bit early for awards, seeing as how it isn’t December, but this definitely takes the cake for Best Use of a Video Game Outside of Gaming Award for 2006. This is the kind of wedding present every gamer should get.
Review: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Texas Chainsaw Massacre : The Beginning delivers on violence and not much else. So much so, it makes my previous all time stomach churning gorefest, House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects look mild Still, doesn’t break out of the typical mold the way they did. In my opinion it doesn’t even come close to the creep factor of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and has “Come see me because I’m a sequel” written all over it.

Beating estimates of the would-be bashers (re: reviewers) Silent Hill has taken the top spot at the box office, raking in an estimated $20.2 million dollars since opening day. This makes the movie break even in Hollyweird rules. The official numbers will be out tomorrow (Monday the 24th), and the above is with an estimated amount of Sunday ticket purchases.
First reviews of the film are out
Yahoo! Movie News has a copy of a Reuters/Hollywood Reporter review of the movie that is being released today. Outside of the overly snarly, outwardly prevalent contempt for video game to movie translations as well as horror movies in general, there is no real redeeming quality to this review at all. It would seem as [...]
