Avary and Hadida Returning to Silent Hill

Posted by Staff on Sep 15, 2009 in Cinema |

News broke over at ComingSoon.net that Silent Hill 2, a sequel to the first movie, has been greenlit.

The article states that Roger Avary and Samuel Hadida have signed on for the sequel. No mention is made of Avary pleading guilty to manslaughter or his forthcoming sentencing next week.

Will be interesting to see how this pans out, especially with whatever sentence is handed down to Avary. It doesn’t preclude him from writing a script from a cell if he does have to do time, but with the way he wrote the first film (constantly playing the games while writing) the best bet would be a different writer would be brought on.
