Roger Avary, scribe of Silent Hill movie, pleads guilty

Roger Avary, the scribe for the Silent Hill movie, has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving.

Avary won an Academy Award for writing the screenplay for “Pulp Fiction” with Quentin Tarantino in 1995. He entered his plea this past Tuesday.

On January 13th, 2008 Avary’s car hit a telephone pole in Ojai. Andreas Zini, a passenger, was killed. Gretchen Avary, Roger’s wife, was injured. Avary originally pleaded not guilty but has apologized.

He is free on bail and will be sentenced on September 29th.
