Paul W.S. Anderson Promises Vampire Whips and Horror Movie Traps In ‘Castlevania’
Remember way back when (few years ago) when Castlevania was the next big video game movie to be made?
Remember how it was supposed to span hundreds of years and be an absolute epic?
Remember the writer’s strike in Hollywood?
Much like Belmont trying to stake Dracula, that writer’s strike has put a kibosh on a bit of the epicness of the movie to come it would seem.
Talking to MTV Movies Paul W.S. Anderson is a bit more low-key about the story for the movie, promising that “There’ll be the whip and there’ll be creatures.”
Wow, cool. What else? Not much else. Mr. Anderson has relegated the movie as in pre-pre-production, meaning there is a massive rewrite for the script happening, and he isn’t the one doing it.
He isn’t even directing it anymore, he is just producing it.
