Silent Hill: Shattered Memories announced for Wii
This being April Fool’s Day we were a bit suspect when we saw this, but it appears to be true as of this point.
The rumored Wii remake of Silent Hill is on.
In the next issue of Nintendo Power (which I will have very soon) there is a whole section devoted to the remake.
In the remake you still play Harry Mason, but characters play different roles and things don’t quite happen as they did in the original narrative.
Answers to certain elements of the game affect how the game unfolds. The game is always watching you, and decisions along with behavior will determine when you get to meet certain characters, if you see certain scenes, and more.
The Wiimote is of course coming into play. Puzzles are all based around the use of the Wiimote. As well, there will be less backtracking as answers to puzzles will be within the immediate area of the puzzle itself.
The “locked door that I can’t open with a shotgun” is no longer a barrier. Every locked door will have a way of opening. You just have to find it.
More at the link below and more to come when we get our copy of Nintendo Power.
