Silent Hill Writer Roger Avary Arrested For Manslaughter

Oscar winning screenwriter Roger Avary, best known for hits such as Pulp Fiction, Silent Hill and most recently Beowulf has been arrested after being involved in a car accident which killed his friend Andreas Zedini, 34 and seriously injuring his wife Gretchen 40.

According to a statement released on Monday, January 14th, “Roger wishes to publicly convey his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased. Words cannot express how sorry he is, and this tragic accident will always haunt him.”

Avary was arrested for the accident, which took place in Ojai, California under the suspicion of felony driving under the influence and was booked into Ventura County jail before being released under $50,000 bail.

No word on Gretchen Avary’s condition has been released after being ejected from the vehicle and being found on the side of the road by authorities, although she is expected to survive the crash.
