E3 2010: New Castlevania game coming to Xbox Live Arcade

Konami announced today Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, a multiplayer side-scrolling entry into the Castlevania franchise.

The game is a part of the Xbox Live Arcade as of the moment, no word if it is also coming for the PS3.

Konami has their own E3 site which will give insight into their offerings that are coming this week.

Right now they have a “mashup” fight against characters from their different gaming universes. Meryl Silverberg vs Cybil Bennett is the one up there now.

E3 2010: Silent Hill 2 Remake? (among other things)

E3 is upon us yet again, so that means it is time for more frequent updates. (You wouldn’t believe our lives lately…we seriously need more writers around here!)

Konami is expected to have a full plate of announcements this E3, and on Wednesday we learn the fate of the rumor we have been hearing for well over a year: will there be a remake of Silent Hill 2? Will it be as good without Akira Yamaoka around to do the music? Will we finally get to stab Laura in the face?

All this is coming up on Wednesday.

Silent Hill 2 begins filming this spring

Don Carmody, the producer of the first movie as well as the sequel, has told Fear.net that the long awaited sequel will begin filming in Toronto this spring.

No word on actual plot, who is to star in the film, or anything beyond a “we hope we don’t fuck this up” as of yet.

We’re back again, even though we never went away

Seems that the Facebook Connect implementation didn’t go as well as we had wished. It denied us access to the admin area of the site so we were not able to post anything new in the past few weeks.

After moving to a new, speedier server and doing some maintenance we found out this little issue.

Unfortunately we will not be able to have the Facebook Connect login available for some time until we figure out what went wrong.

Otherwise all is good and we will be bringing more site based updates soon.
